Ezra Thompson is an American painter whose work moves between abstraction, surrealism, and realism to investigate identity, memory, self-perception, and the shifting relationship between the conscious and subconscious. Through painting, he explores how personal experience intersects with collective cultural narratives, drawing upon philosophy, psychology, and lived experience to examine the construction of selfhood and remembrance.

His work has been exhibited at the Parrish Art Museum, the Heckscher Museum of Art, the Ely Center of Contemporary Art, Ferrara Showman Gallery, Silvermine Galleries, and Abington Art Center, among other venues. He has participated in artist residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Aljira Center for Contemporary Art's Emerge program and has received fellowships supporting research and creative projects in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Berlin, Germany.

Thompson's work has been selected for the White Columns Curated Artist Registry in New York City. He is also an Artist Member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists, one of the oldest and most distinguished artist organizations in North America, elected through a highly competitive peer-review process.
